ZX6 (or similar frontend?)
Custom exhaust
Rearsets
Rearset mounts
Set of wheels & rotors
Custom rear wheel spacers?
250 GP slicks

That sound right?

i don't understand why he didn't use a dual rotor setup up front if he used the front end off a sportbike.

if you are talking a yamaha, i found spoked wheels for ya, and bigger brakes for $1200 before shipping from LA. That will bolt right up.

i'm sure the factory forks would work, just cut down some. it couldnt be hard to find a upper triple and clip ons to fit the fork diameters either. i'd guess that for about $2500 it could be done (not including the bike purchase).

That's a lotta brake. The 600 is ~400-ish lbs. the dirtbike ~250-ish.

I hope that this bike/class doesn't get pushed hard and associated as a kids class. Typical american attitude with smaller displacement engines. A 450 MX bike is not for kids IMO. Neither is this.

However, it could be a class that SOME kids 14-16 could get started with.
