Anyone know about TTR?

http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/427718242.html

Look like a good deal? I got off the phone with the guy and he said the motor is strong but it has lots of little things wrong with it. He's sending me the list that he got from K's Motorsports now. I'm looking for something I can put some street tires on and tear up my neighboorhood to practice leaning, or just something I can wheelie around. Please excuse me for not knowing sh*t when it comes to these bikes.

For $180... if you don't pick it up, I will.

TTR90's usually go for about $600 to $1000 depending on year model, and condition.

That's what I was thinking...I'm very familiar with dirt bikes I just never knew that they could be used for street racing, stunting, etc until I joined the street community, and I'm not sure what's good at what. I've always ridden 2-stroke Hondas. Cash is tight though so I was hoping to maybe pick it up as a little project as long as there's not an insane amount of stuff wrong w/ it.

Cool, well I called and talked to him before posting this and I just called him back with no answer. I left him a voicemail telling him I would pick it up tonight. If he calls me back, great...if not, oh well! Thanks everyone.

So many people are scared away from buying a bike that needs work, so there's usually good deals to be had if you're half decent at wrenching.

The ad was "deleted by author" some time ago... maybe it was a misprint or type-o on the original ad.

why don't you buy buck beasley's ttr125? it's got slicks on it, 17" wheels, and a big bore......for $1,100. it's a badass deal if you ask me. you can easily learn to corner with it.

I love how I post a bike for $180 and people market bikes to me that are $1,100

Jk Tony, but I'm honestly on a college budget and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to pick something up cheap and do a little wrenching to make it my neighboorhood warrior.

Jackass...I called him as soon as he put it up and would have came and got it at that time but I guess he had too many interested so he raised his price. Just got off the phone and he said he's up to $400.
