Should be able to get those seperate, rebound and preload adjusters

Probably can just clean them up and reuse, unless you are concerned with looks.

damnit i didnt want to ever post this kind of thread
Good to hear you're ok.

NOOOOOOO!!!! poor 636... looks fubar. do you have any before pictures?

So....I assume it was not raining when this occurred. And you state you were going 30 on a 35. Your model looks to be a 2005-2006 636...going 30, on low beams...can spot anything. Its a shame you could'nt get his plates....

I find this hard to digest other than stating you probably dont know how to stop your bike quickly. Yes, 30 is quick but i find it hard believe that kind of speed can do that much to your bike, especially if you were already braking while you got hit. So I assume you got rear ended dead on and that the person must have had to push the pedal to the metal in order to cause that much damage to your bike. Its a shame to see you and your bike through this but I hope you learn from this and just be more cautious.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the penalties for hit and run involving a motorcyclist need to be stiffer.

+1 I agree 100% I think that the ones on here that are experts in law or in writing should write a good petition that we could send to a congressman with picture to remind them what stupid cager do and that running after hitting one of us is not the same as hitting another cager. Sorry to hear you went down and the sob ran without even checking to make sure you were still breathing.
