werd. normally if you hit the car the forks would be trashed... i'd say you flipped over and hit your head, never hit the car. and thats 1/2 the reason the car didnt stop. although they should have to see if you were ok even if you didnt hit them (failure to render aid) but they might not have even seen you or may have been drunk. anyhow. i've got a killer headache. i'm going to sleep

the guy was leaving a bar, so he was 99% likely to be drunk

I didn't have insurance on my bike for the first two weeks that I had it either and luckily nothing happened, but cam wasnt so fortunate. He's flat broke because he put every cent he had into purchasing the bike cash and now it's useless.

If anyone would like to help a fellow rider out I set up a PayPal account for his cause, I've already donated quite a bit myself...any little bit would help. Thank you for your consideration and watch out for those drunks!

SUCKS TO HEAR ABOUT THIS. FROM THE AFTERMATH PICTURES IT LOOKS LIKE YOU WENT DOWN QUITE HARD INDEED, AND I'M GLAD YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO MAKE AN UNDESIRED TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL.
MAKE SURE YOU GO TO THE DOCTOR TO GET CHECK OUT FOR SOME INTERNAL HEAD INJURIES, THEY COULD DEVELOP INTO A MORE SERIOUS CONDITION IF LEFT UNTREATED.
I HOPE YOU GET WELL SOON, AND YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN YOUR BIKE INTO A STREETFIGHTER UNTIL YOU GET MONEY TO FIX/REPLACE THE FAIRINGS.

Glad you are ok, and hope a few life lessons sink in, like riding after curfew and without insurance.
