For future reference, that's what I said after hitting a wall. Went home and was going to sleep it off, as I was bleeding out in my bed. I tore my spleen and didn't know. I thought I was ok....sooooo wasn't. Next time get checked just in case!

Glad you're ok though.

That sucks! Good thing you are o.k. At least you got up and walked away from it. Bikes can be fixed, but sometimes bodies can not. YOu got the good end of the deal. Sorry about the bike though. Bummer.

Hey somebody I know, but won't mention who's name because I'm not sure who knows, was hit by a car the other day and thought she'd walk it off. She was sore but for the most part fine. After visiting the hospital to be sure, she found out she had internal bleeding and all other kinds of wrong. You need to make a trip to the doc bruh...

Read this:

http://www.muhealth.org/neuromed/concussion.shtml

And this:

http://www.gentiva.kramesonline.com/3,S,86316

Now, don't try to make your own diagnosis, and certainly none of the above or my comments are a diagnosis either. Other more serious injuries can mimic concussions, and certainly, as others have indicated, you could have more serious injuries that you are not aware of yet.

The other side of that coin is that you are fine, and there is nothing wrong with you. Without seeing you, nobody can make that determination anyway.

Pay attention to what your body is telling you, and get a friend to hang out with you for a while or couple of days.

Help a Kid in Need

This sucks so bad, he just bought the bike not even two weeks ago and it's already out of commission because of someone's irresponsible actions. He could have been killed! Thank cam's still with us but now he has to suffer for someone else's mistakes. I understand exactly where he's coming from, this could have easily been me. I didn't have insurance on my bike for the first two weeks that I had it either and luckily nothing happened, but cam wasnt so fortunate. He's flat broke because he put every cent he had into purchasing the bike cash and now it's useless.

If anyone would like to help a fellow rider out I set up a PayPal account for his cause, I've already donated quite a bit myself...any little bit would help. Thank you for your consideration and watch out for those drunks!
