Power Commander Q's RC51

I am trying to find a power commander second hand. Does anyone know if the PC3 is interchangable with an sp1 and sp2? I have seen some sp2 PC3's for sale but I have an sp1...It does have a sp2 motor.

thanks

I would say if you have an sp2 motor then a sp2 PC should be the one your looking for.

Thats a safe assumption. Im just looking for confirmation that the sp1 and sp2 have similar wiring harnesses. I have never installed a pc. isnt it all plug and play?

ok...I just looked and everything is the same. only differences are injectors and throttle body size.

I hear they are different connections for the injectors but they flow the same rate correct?

I need to find out what TB i have to download a proper map then. i dont have enough to get a custom map made.

I don't know about the connections. the injectors are different. More nozzles on the sp2. What you need to find out is if they used the sp1 throttle bodies and injectors or swapped everything over with the sp2 engine. The PC maps will be different because of the difference in the set ups.

I would say just hook up the pc and start trying out different maps. which ever maps feels better on the dyno 2000 go with that one until you can get a custom made. personally right now I am using a techlusion fuel box to add fuel to my rc. it is prolly not giving me max hp but it smoothed out my throttle from being jerky and stopped all the popping.

Yes the only diff from the sp1 and sp2 pcIII is the length of the wires. They are interchangable. I am also looking for a cheap pcIII lol I need to get rid of my PCII lol.

thanks all you Rc51 owners for responding. I have some yosh slip ons en route and I cant stand the thought of adding pipes and not changing the fueling.

you wouldn't hurt anything with just slip ons on the rc. It runs slightly rich any how. but a PC will improve your throttle smoothness. I wanna hear the yosh pipes when you get them on. disable your flapper and do the soft rev mod and a -1 front tooth to have a completely different machine.
