Get the bike with larger displacement. I love my little 02 r6 but it is time for something that does not require shifting down in an emergency. A 600 is a great track day bike, but for riding on the street a larger motor is less work and has the power at every rpm range.

A first time rider can ride any bike. It is not the weapon that kills, it is the person wielding it.
