do people bring pit bikes? Ive been racing dirt track (bombers) for awhile now, and only have those experiences to compare. thanks for all of the info.

yes you will be meeting the instructors before it starts. Also try to get some sleep the night before.(you'll see what i mean lol)

One would think, leanring this on a motard would make the process a lot smoother.
The trick to backing it in is to get the rear sliding without locking it up.. you want it to be rotating so it doesn't unload the suspension and bike when it hooks up.

It is old school, most of the new bikes turn well enough you don't have to back it in to get it pointed the right direction. Looks cool when done right tho!

Just remember the front tire is your friend, and the front brakes are the life saver. The rear is just along for the ride, except for when you are coming up out of the turn.
Slow in, fast out, look thru the turn, the bike will go where you look.

They may not go over basic body position since it isn't a noob day, so ask Jimmy or one of the experienced guys to go over it with you.

Suspension setup is also something you should address before going. If you can't afford to take it to Motorcycles Unlimited, there are a couple online sites that go over it, but you really need 2 or 3 people to do it right.
