Pix of Courtney's wrecked/flipped blazer

As some of you know, last wednesday Courtney was coming home with all three kids(including our 17month old baby) During the storm, she hydroplaned on I45 and hit the wall and flipped.....(everyone was ok thank !)

Now... Ive got a dilema...

Truck is paid off, we just had liability...

Truck is probably driveable..but, we arent gonna spend the cash to repair it even if we could... We are poor....

As of midnigh tonight, our tab at the yard is right at $500....

Should I go get it...and keep it somewhere/part it out... or what....

How much are the engines, trans, rear-end, etc. . . going for with whatever mileage y'all have on it?

Looks like drivetrain, some windows, interior, and wheels are salvageable. I'd check and see what most of those are going for used, and see if the profit would be worth the hassle.

Buy it back and sell every piece of it seperate.

(i drove a pickup off of a mountain in new mexico )

, Chris! I'm glad everyone is ok If I were you, I'd get it out and part it out if you have the time. If you don't, let it slide and buy an Accord

The tires alone can be sold for the price of getting it out of impound. Looks pretty bad. Glad no one was hurt. A salvage lot will buy it for the same $500 and make a cool couple grand off the parts. Why shouldn't you. One word...

that's fine if you're not looking for quick cash and have room to dissassemble and sell ....

If I had room and time and another mode of transportation .. and you plan on 'taking it apart' as a hobby, then yes ... buy it back and seperate it and sell it ..

If it was me, i'd leave it there,

and move on, curses aren't worth reviving ...

EXTREMELY glad everyone is ok bro.

Good to hear that the family is all well.

It's kind of hard to say. Take the hit and get it out of the impound and part it out (to not only get the 500 back but make a profit) which could take as little or as much time necessary (for disassembly and sale of the parts). OR just call it a loss and move on. Well if you get it out and need some help to disassemble then don't hesitate to ask.
