the story on how we got the sign... me and 2 friends are in a 26 foot U-Haul truck and we pass this sign with a cop on the opposite side of the road, just outside Vegas. so we pull the truck up between the cop and the sign, my 2 friends get out the pasenger door and i get out of the drivers side and pretend to stretch a liitle bit, it's about 3:00am. once they get the sign down there is no way of loading it in the back without the cop seeing so i pretend to try to start the truck and then get out to lift the hood. the cop comes over and looks at the motor for a minute while my friends raise the back and throw the sign in. motor "finally" starts and we go on about our business leaving 2 poles sticking up beside the road with nothing on them

edit: the sign is about 4 feet tall by 3 feet wide

There's a decent sign in Pearland, not as funny as these with words, but funny nonetheless. By the park on McLean there is a sign with kids see-sawing. There is actually a fat kid on ths ide that's lower.

two books:
National Lampoons' street signs....

Must have for the sign enthusiast.
Last page of second book actually has the painted letters on the road "sopt" in stead of 'stop'..... no joke.... Well, it is....
