Inspection Sticker Loss

Great, I lost my inspection sticker out cruzing on Sunday somewhere between Fayetteville and Whaller. That little plastic thing on the back by the licence didn't hold it. I saw it was peeking a little on Saturday but didn't think that it was going to blow off.
After I have it inspected again, do I have to put it on the bike? Can I just put it on a card and place it under the seat?
What are you guys doing with yours?

Thanks.

Just another thing to deal with.

You need to let me ride with you to find the lines through corners. There have to be roads close to us that we can use.
Your good and I want to be quicker...

It can be replaced by whomever did the original inspection.

Im good but not nearly as good as the track guys (i.e. jimmy, robbie, shaun, jet, etc), also some other good non-track guys, david (turbo ls hatch) and gary (dudewheresmybike) they are both pretty good.

But ill show you some lines, Im on here pretty much everyday, so just drop me a pm whenever you want to go, and Ill let you know if i can make it.

And like jimmy always says, which I know found out he stole from the guy at LSTD (maybe buck?) "There is no trophy at the end of the ride."

Whoever did the inspection should be able to get you a replacement, but it's only $14.50 for a new one, so I'd just pay for another year. , I'm an inspector and mine has been out for like 5 months.

McKee, your list is a little off, I had to kick Rob back. You're probably just as fast as Dude as well. Can't say for certain since I generally don't spend much time behind either of you. From what I've seen, you're both pretty equal.

HAHAH whatever you say, on a track rob would smoke you. as for whos better me you or gary

I could care less. I rather be in the rear making sure everyone is safe, then trying to have a street battle in the front.

the inspector "LEGALLY" cannot hand you the sticker. tell him to put it on the swingarm or somewhere it won't blow off or fall off from. ask before you get the inspection done....you can bring it by my shop if you're around here, and i'll put the sticker wherever u want it, some people are "by the book"

I talked to a state inspector this weekend because I want to get a fender iliminator kid.

He told me it could be anywhere on the bike as long as it is "EASILY VISIBLE"

They need to actually define rear as it pertains to motorcycles, I agree its too vague. Something that the legislature can easily clear up.

I've lost a few inspection stickers (and license plates). ALWAYS have your receipt for the inspection available to show LEO in the event you are pulled over. Now - take that receipt back and have them make a new sticker for the same inspection or, as was said, if it was more than a few months old just pay for a new one and not worry for another two years.
