Donovan McNabb last 5 years
Missed 20 games
Passing completions 59.2%

Brett Favre last 5 yrs
No missed games (actually in 14 yrs according to Wikipedia and ESPN)
Passing completions 61.74%

Favre is about to be 38 and still stays healthy enough to keep playing. While his numbers aren't as great as they used to be, they are still comparable to half the starters in the league. And again, he stays healthy.

he can stay healthy, but you cant deny that the past 2 years specifically, his INTs have lost them games and caused them to have losing seasons... and most his INTs are forced throws he cant make anymore... hence, he should retire...age has nothing to do with it...its all on how you perform...

I do agree his INTs are a problem. But I also feel the rest of the team around him isn't good either. But that is my opinion. I'm not arguing that he isn't due for retirement. I think he would have already if they had someone ready to step up. But Favre has always been a INT thrower. He has been in double digits every year after his rookie season. Most of the seasons were 15 and up. Thats an INT/game. His worst year was '05 with 29. The only reason people realize NOW that he is throwing that many, is his team isn't good enough to recover from them anymore.

Mcnabb is constantly costing his team money and not performing. At least Favre is on the field trying to earn his income. Not on the sidelines in a cap counting the hairs on the back of his knuckles.

it doesn't matter if he would have made the pass or not... he is white and therefore wouldn't have been booed like mcnabb was... at least that what mcnabb thinks

McNabb's still milking the Rush Limbaugh slur from a couple years ago.

wasn't carson palmer recovering from a knee injury last year? I don't remember seeing any big press conferences with him complaining. these players are getting millions of dollars. they just need to accept responsibility for their sucking
