Bike(s):
2005 GSXR 600

Question Planning ahead... R1 or GSXR1000?

pros and cons of both...? and pick one. I am planning on starting a"fund" to buy one brand new next fall. I love the look of the R1 but know how fast the gsxr is... so?

I am kinda new to all this so don't talk over my head.
I bought the 600 to learn on for a year. I was trying to be sensible.
{Thats very hard for me by the way...sensible}

hmmm... this would be a cool poll! let er rip!

The power delivery on theR1 is more manageable. However, I'd recommend more seat time before moving up.
Most of todays 600 have BETTER power to weight ratios than the 1000's of 5 or 6 years ago.

Seriously, the R1 setup correctly will be easier to ride than the GSXR.
And it looks better IMHO.

my 600 has power commander and underseat race exhaust.. runs great but I want a new bike next time. {I am kinda odd about how I keep things like new}.

umm.. ride on the street mostly and pimp my hot wife around on the back with me...
but mostly just want to enjoy the bike.. may drag race it some at HRP, but mostly just cruise, pull some sit down wheelies shiznit like that.

Just learn how to ride the 600 better and stick with that. No need for a 1000. I am speaking from experience here. The 1000 will just get you in trouble.
