No need to lay it down, i just actually know how to turn, and the 06 will drag hard parts (i.e. rearsets, bellypan) before any of the other Japanese bikes, hence my statement.

I have taken my bike to the track several times and no problem with that except that feeler under the peg is freakishly long. Just remove the feeler than it is all good. Not a great track/race bike compared to my 05 gixxer 1K.

i know hundreds of gen2 10 owners and funny, NONE, of them have ever said that before. i'm not buying it.
