ok this maybe way off but,on CMRA event weekends at MSR-C,why does'nt LSTD rent the small track for the remainder of the weekend.
i mean there is nothing else going on over there and i'm sure many would come in on the two different days or maybe both days, cant figure it out.
would this be flooding the market?just maybe..............

They may not be allowed to run that track while racing is going on. One section of the new track comes pretty close to the Wagon Wheel but, all this is speculation.

that makes sence,kinda.
but i dont think "racing" mode is any slower than "practice" mode.

Uh, really? for some people you are right. These are the same people who are constantly crashing at track days as well but, for most of us we use practice time as just that... for practicing. When the flag drops for a race all bets are off for holding back.

So, one scenario would be running CCW and having some one come up the inside of you sending you to the grass in the wagon wheel. Another would be CW over shooting the entrance for the wagon wheel and ending up in the other track. The later is very possible because you are carrying a lot of speed coming into the wagon wheel that direction and I have seen both of these type of incidents happen already.

You know, that makes sense. I'll look in to that feasibility, and maybe use a CMRA weekend as the guinea pig (since those groups are more predictable and everyone has lots of td experience). I do have another notification idea that is along those lines too.

As far as #7 goes... I don't think Macman would be too cool with that... maybe we can stick Jeff in there instead! Of course, that would assume that the booth has enough room for Jeff's hair...

Regarding renting the small track during CMRA weekends has a couple of issues:

1 The CMRA would not let us because they are paying for the weekend- and- the tracks are too close for safety concerns of the CMRA

2 There is not enough room for a full track day group while the CMRA is there. During a race weekend, that place is packed.

once again i was confused about the whole CMRA and LSTD being totally different identities.
now it makes perfect sence.....
I have only been to the events that run with CMRA.
and they do run pretty smooth, well at least smoother at MSR-C.

back on subject.
i was at the last track day by Ridesmart and i was very pleased with the organization but left disappointed after loosing one session.
sems like it got "lost"during the lunch break or something,no biggie.
in-expensive shirts and free meals make it nice also
thanks guys
Joe

Yes, the last Ride Smart indeed was very successful.

Get this -

1) Not a single crash in level 1.
2) No one went to the hospital.
3) Weather was great (80s all day!).
4) Free food!

Could'nt have asked for a better track day.

Sure could have asked for better but I'm not sure if you'd be able to provide:
Could have had strippers
Free Beer afterwards
Fireworks
Band in the pit area
etc...

i'm very happy to see all of your input.
Good, bad and the ugly.
Keep 'em coming.
It can't hurt to get feedback from those of us who are paying to ride the tracks that these groups setup for us!
