Well here's my experience. I just went out with my son and two of his freinds back in May and they were all looking for a cbr600. They were in Geogia just graduating from basic training and I was here in Houston. They did some shopping up there and I did down here. What we found was that apparently in '07 the cbr600 was the best selling 600cc in the country and no dealer was backing off the list price, which was about $9700. You add a few parts, fees, and taxes and license and you are easily at $11000.

You could definetly go out at that time and buy a Suzuki, Yamaha, or Kawasaki cheaper but they didn't want those and neither did a lot of other people. I have to say also I think they got the most technically advanced 600cc for '07. Is it worth the extra money? I doubt it but that's what happens when you buy the lastest and greatest. Watch what happens with the '08 cbr1000, I'll bet the same thing.

Just my .02, just ride and be happy now you can't bring it back.

be careful when buying a bike!

to the original poster, not trying to pick on you, just warning everyone to use good practices when spending lots of money. oh, and that also goes for where you get your loan and the terms, as well as what you spend it on!!!
