Sounds like you paid full retail for the bike. They will always tell you the full retail price and it is your job to talk them down.

I recently got a good deal on a bike from Trevor at Stubb's on Telephone Rd. He initially told me the retail price but ended up making me a good deal on it.

Always do your research before you go to a dealership. I usually have my financing in order too so that I don't have to deal with them on that.

Ofcourse it costs you about $300 in fuel to get it, and pay taxes for it here, you could still get out for $10,500 after all was said and done and have a NEW 1k. We bought an new R1 from there back in 04 and got it for $9200, drove there, loaded up, and trailered it back...Paid TTL here in Texas got out for $10k with a new R1.

Whats done is done though.....if you got the bike you wanted and did the upgrades you wanted, nothing to complain about......enjoy your ride and its mods!
my busa was $9500 with one mile on it. '07 model bought 2 months ago

Your first mistake was walking thru Stubb's door.
Your second mistake was not doing the research BEFORE you went to buy.
Don't worry about it, we've all taken it in the before, if you let that idea bother you, it will take away from enjoying the bike. It's done, ya learned, all ya can do is move on.

yeah the financing rate on bikes are ridculous and then the dealers stick you even more. people get excited the payments each month are low and dont realize they're paying 13,14, or even 15k for a bike really worth half of that.

Ouch-go refinance it through your bank. You should by Texas law pay no penalty to pay off the other loan early. *you may have to pay a processing fee

banks dont really give a good apr on "personal" loans, so 9% is pretty good. a lot better than 10+%
