they charge you for the install.

I don't know how much a cbr600 cost base, so i can't say.

$9499 MSRP. Alot of that stuff you could have done yourself, except the powder coating, in which case, you could have taken the rims off then take it to a professional to have them done. I'm sure Stubbs outsources that anyway, so you have to pay them for their time and profit to do so (for your convenience). Not taking into account that it's last year's model, I'm not too surprised of the OTD price you paid. Especially if it includes tax, title, registration.

one thing I can say about their powdercoating, I do it all, and they charge the customer what I charge them. they make nothing more than the installation fees for the items like that.

Cool. Nevertheless, it's reasonable that they still have to charge the customer for their time and labor. If the customer doesn't want to take the time himself to take the wheels off, etc, then the dealer is a business like any other business, and has to make money, even if it includes charging the full labor rate for the mechanic's time.

$9500 MSRP for 600s now?? F*CK THAT!! you can get new busas for that in Missouri.....My buddy just priced out a new 07 Gsxr 1k for $9400 in Missouri yesterday. Ofcourse it costs you about $300 in fuel to get it, and pay taxes for it here, you could still get out for $10,500 after all was said and done and have a NEW 1k. We bought an new R1 from there back in 04 and got it for $9200, drove there, loaded up, and trailered it back...Paid TTL here in Texas got out for $10k with a new R1.

Whats done is done though.....if you got the bike you wanted and did the upgrades you wanted, nothing to complain about......enjoy your ride and its mods!

The only questions that matter is if you can afford the 11,800, when you plan to sell, and are you happy with the bike.
