Exhaust mod Question

Ok I am replacing my stock baffles with racing baffles. While I was taking the cans off I noticed how much better the bike looked without the stupid plastic heat shields over the exhaust. I am toying with the idea of leaving them off but the shields bolt to ugly brackets welded to the side of the cans. I can grind off the brackets and welds but it would probably look like with the titanium all marred where the brackets were. Does anyone know how I could redo the finish on the titanium where the brackets were after grinding them off? I thought about powder coating but I really like the look of the titanium. Maybe glass or shot beading them after?

I know the heat shields come off but the bracket they attach to is welded to the can.
I am trying to find a way to get the finish back on the titanium can if I grind off the brackets that hold the shields on.
