Coming FROM an insurance agent, I would NEVER obtain an attorney UNLESS there is some kind of ridiculous stalemate in ur claims process.

If u have med bills, lost wages, damages as far as the bike is concerned, notate the outta that stuff, and turn it into the adjuster. In most cases, if u can notate it, they pay. Only if they get into that "well u weren't going fast enought to sustain these injuries" bullshit do you then THINK about obtaining an attorney, but most insurance companies will pay what they owe WITHOUT the need for litigation AS LONG AS u HAVE PROOF. Litigation only costs the company MORE. His insurance company should pay up to his policy limits, as long as it is warranted with proof without the need for an attorney.

Call me PK if you need help with ur claim, I don't mind helping out where I can.

Getting an attorney actually SLOWS the process down, and they aren't gonna hammer for anymore than what can be proved is owed. U basically are paying the lawyer for what u can generally do urself with a little extra persistance.

Now if the company gives u the run around or tries to lowball u to the point of exhaustion, i would then turn to an attorney as a last resort.

It can SLOW the process down, but sure did speed it up for her case. So most cases with an attorney involved they do have to pay out more, cause the person making the claim doesnt always know what they can claim against the insurance company. IE missed work, pain and anguish ect. diminished value, there are a lot that people miss and the insurance is not going to tell you. So in some cases an attorney is the wise way to go. Sure they get paid but you also get what is comming to you. I dont like using an attorney if I dont have to, but when I do I only use the best and it cost to do that. But I get what I pay for also.

J
We're saying the same thing, "attorney as last resort". Ur spending money to get what u can ALREADY get on ur own, by just being thorough and more diligent about asking the right questions and proving what ur owed.

U can claim ANYTHING that u are out of as far as bodily injury and property damage are concerned AND that u can prove...period. If u really need some free advice, call ur agent and let them guide u to ask the right questions.

The insurance companies motto is pay what we OWE, no more no less.
