i would bet most dead riders would disagree w/ you. dieing smashed up against a tree isn't as "romantic" as you think it is.

Are you really that stupid? Just because I love riding doesn't mean I feel like being cut in half by a pole, run over by a car, or some other stupid .

I do think that, just by virtue of it being printed and backed by stats, that insurance companies will use this Press Release as more justification to increase their rates even higher on these bikes and these demographics. To such a point that it would ownership put of these bikes out of reach for any kid that needs to finance a new SS bike. And it could be argued rightfully so.
I don't think this released information will change much for the insurance companies. They are the ones writing the checks, they have in house actuaries that had this information long before this was published. The insurance companies change their rates based on the claims that they pay out, none of this information is a surprise to them.

I dunno if it has as much to do with the motorcycle as it does the kind of person attracted to supersport bikes.

Well then, I apologize. I didn't realize only the "relevant" info was all that was cared for. Maybe next time, I'll paraphrase.

good. i hope the insurance companies get this info soon.
there are too many kids playing on bikes these days that shouldnt be. i see them all the time they just dont respect them and many do not have the mindset or skills either. they want a bike because its popular and cool...

i think it would be great if kids started thinking HD's were cool instead of SS's. than us grown folks can have our fun to ourselves!!

eh as unromantic as hitting a guardrail at 90mph sounds, I'd take it over wearing dentures and depends and watching my wife and my friends die around me and waiting to get cancer so I could finally die too.

not saying I hope to die young, i'm just saying its not the worst thing for some people.
