I feel yea... I mean the least ppl can do is drive with the headlights on all day... I was disappointed to see that no one cares... I mean its made it on the calendar as Patriot Day... is it that hard to forget the hundreds of thousands of ppl that lost their lives that day?!

No one ****ing cares about anyone else except themselves until its to late...

I did not realize what today was until I opened my phone and saw the date. It's a shame how in the past years there have been reminders everywhere you look about that sad day, what make this year so different? I think flags should be flown at half mass and flags should be put in yards as reminders.

drive with there headlights on?

thats the first time i heard that one.

But yes I believe flags should be at half-mast. Some places dont pull half, on days of remembrance. Others, just leave there flag up 24/7 365.

I wish people respected it more. I know the same thing gets repeated over and over, such as people died for are freedom. But, it seems people are just jaded now.

I do anything for this country. And its not because the "evil corporations," the "biased media", corrupt politicians tell me to.
Its because what our brothers/sisters/mothers/fathers/grandparents shed blood for, AND its the type of government I believe in.

It just seems that our wonderful country has become the country of ME FIRST! MY needs, My wants are entirely more important then worrying about others or forbid even the past. It is really sad too, where would all these people be had we not had those that died for our right to have those needs and wants fulfulled??

Aside from that, those people in the towers or the planes weren't looking to fight for our country or protect our rights. Their lives were taken from them, yet people seem to not care.

I'm right there with ya phych0ninja!! Every year, I make sure that my kids remember what happened on this day. I make sure that they honour those who've lost their lives and the lives of our loved ones. The now seemingly forgotten. Even if it's only for a few minutes, people need to understand how easily and quickly our lives can be taken from us. And not forget those whose lives were!!!!

Apathy is what this country is all about these days. Apathy aabout the past, apathy about current events and especially apathy when it's time to vote.
My feeling is that most of the problems this country faces are what happens when we as a people are more concerned about what's on TV or which restraunt we are gonna eat at today.
If people cared as much about the war or what our representatives are doing as they do about football or NASCAR things would be going better for us all.

maybe they dont show it anymore but. im sure they remember it in silence

I guess you can say america is like a fair weather fan you know the fans that are only fans when the team is doing good. I went to Afghanastan right after 9/11 and i remember when i came home everyone had a flag a ribbon or something like that. it took somthing like 9/11 to unite the united states if you ask me thats sorry as and now you dont even see flags at half all those flag and ribbons are gone. That is some sorry
