man, I haven't been keeping up with this and didn't realize how badly he was hurt. I've never met the guy, but I sure hope he heals up proper. Prayers for him and his SO.

It was great to be able to see him last night. He is braving through a lot of pain, or as he said it, "Pain sucks". Aparently his internal injuries have kept them from giving him pain meds until yesterday. I don't even want to think about how tough those first days were without some of Dr. Feelgood's special tonic.

As has been posted before, his prognosis is for a full recovery, but it looks like it will take some time. He should be getting a clearer picture of what the road ahead looks like today when he and Lindy meet with the docs.

Speaking of Lindy, what a gal. Berto gots himself one of a woman.

He wants to wait (for the entertainment) so i'll gather up when hes ready for it.

He's in such good spirits, it was a great site to see him smile and watch his eyes open up wide!

Take it from someone that was stuck in STICU, CCU etc. for a very, very very long time, you really don't want anything to do anything but sleep because you keep getting intereupted sleep every hour on the hour 24/7. People brought me stuff but all I really wanted was headphones and an FM radio. There are no TVs in the rooms STICU and CCU at all so having a radio to stay up to date on current events is nice. As for the pain thing, I can relate. I had all of my injuries and they couldn't give me pain meds cause my blood pressure was too low. Talk about hurt.

I have a 7" portable DVD player if Lindy wants to use it, to pass the time. Has a battery and AC adapter.

Not sure where he lives, or if anyone lives around him, but here's something we do at work when a co-worker needs help ... we take turns providing dinners and general house cleaning kind of stuff.

Maybe we could set up a schedule for when he does get back home for a couple weeks worth of dinner/meals until he gets back on his feet?

Fantastic idea. We'll see when the time comes... it may be a quite a while.

Lurch- if you would like to let her borrow it, I'm sure she'd appreciate it.
