Good to have the fun we did out there! Nut missed out.
All teams looked good out there!
Den, were you able to make the sprints?
Yes, I did five races on Sunday. I placed mid-pack in most of the races including 10th out of 17 in Superbike, 6th in motard, and 6th in Heavyweight. I should now have enough points to rank 6th overall in Heavyweight.

I see a Works Performance shock in our future

I am a little disappointed in the bike though, esp the tires. I am going to have to do some tire suspension mods to help in the corners. That was our biggest weakness.

I think most of the damage was done when I realized that it was being run over and I tried to yank it out due to reflex while the tire was still on it.

If Tom ran over it I think you would have lost it

The tires started gripping better later in the day (but still not good) but man the track was so squirley for most of the day. I think a lot of it had to do with bad brakes (too much trail braking because it wouldn't stop!), dusty track, and body position on the bike. These are a bunch different than the big bikes and body position seems to be much more critical. I also need to start working out because I am one sore today....

Glad you guys had fun and also did really well!

A blown shock?
Glad I wasn't there to be blamed for!

Wish I were there...

I like the part when I let off of the brake and wondered where the lever went, only to realize that it was still engaged halfway around the corner. I would have to kick it back out with my numb fingers.

Truer words were never spoken!

I missed you, but you took up the whole track when you crashed! The 2 smoker behind me hit you, I grabbed a handful of brake to miss you as you rolled to the left, while your bike was spinning on the track.

Anyway, it was fun trying to get back up to speed, and I think this race really helped my track day yesterday. I almost got back up to speed at TWS (Texas World Speedway) and cut some 58's on our endurance SV. Took all day though!

Anyway, maybe when the next race rolls around, I can contribute to the effort instead of running us backwards!

They have backwards sprints on Sundays ....

By the way, Sunday was fun too. There was a camera guy out from FoxNews26 who seemed very interested in the riders' meeting, the pits and especially the pocket bike races. He said it would be aired some time in November (?) on a Sunday (?) but should also be available on myfoxhouston.com then.
