something hit it. i dont know, but when the air bag deployed it might have hit the windshield hard enough to bust it.

or if the car had some massive body flex and twisted the frame "popping" the windshield(but the type of cracks would look different instead of a spider web type)

in regards to the post above mine, i would think the passenger(if there was one) would be throw into the door or middle of since it was side swiped and not a front/rear collision... that makes sense to me.. i could be wrong

airbag nearly always breaks the windshield when it deploys, but in a wreck that hard the windshield usually will at least crack from the distortion of the unibody.
glad everyone was ok though!

on a side note... wonder how much it woudl be to buy it back from insurance (assuming its totaled, which is a safe bet).

a have a friend looking for a complete ls1 swap, thats why I ask.
