2006 r6 problem

im having a problem with my bike and wondering if anybody would know how to solve this issue. when im coming to a red light, my bike is at 6k rpms then when i pull in the clutch the rpms drop down to like 2- 1.5 then all of sudden my motor just cuts off. only way i can prevent it from cutting is pulling in the clutch around 3k rpms. is there anyway to fix this? please help!

at 9100 miles i went ahead and changed out my spark plugs thinking that the spark plugs were the problem but since i put some new ones in. i still have the same problem. nothing modified to the motor.

There was a thread about this on R6messagenet recently. I didn't read it, but if you search for it, maybe there is something in there that can help.

My '05 R6 did that to me for about a month. When I made an appt to take it in it stopped all by itself and never did it again.

What production date is your bike? It might be the problem with the computer or fly by wire. Since you have warranty on it, take it in.

the dealership will not sync for you under warranty. if its cutting off, i doubt syncing the TB will help you. i synced mine to get out the vibrations. and i never had a problem with the engine cutting off.. check out r6messagenet for more info

update! got my bike back, the mechanic said he couldn't find the problem or replicate the problem. I asked about the TB sync, he said he checked it and everything was fine. So i paid $0 and he left my ticket open since my warranty expired. So if it happens again i can bring it back and they won't charge anything

i have read on an r6 forum about this same issue, but it has mainly happened when the bike is still moving and the engine would cut off. several people have reported this to yamaha and not much has really happened from it. don't know if you are having the same problem or not.
