GSX-R: Yorishuma Slip on opinions.

SO I ordered my Yoshiruma exhaust from stubbs, it should be inn on Tuesday. I got the slip on, not the full exhaust. What should I expect from after installation. I really didn't get it for performance since i am so scared of going fast in the streets. The main reason i bought it is because it sounds so beatiful. I ended up paying $389.xx, is that a bad price?

Well I am going to try and make an install thread after I get it on tuesday.

You bought it from Stubbs... so, yes that is a bad price.

As far as what to expect, your bike will be louder, that's about it. A can will give slightly better performance but at best you're only gonna see 5%.
5 or 6 more ponies out of 130+ won't be noticeable.

The really hard part will be developing the ability to resist listening to your bikes new song.

Yoshi Question

Since we're on the Yoshi topic;

I have slip ons on the Busa, left side has a resonating cone inside and the right side doesn't. Noticed on a cold day the exhaust out of the right side flowed much faster.

:dontknow:Ideas? I figured it was for a little bit of exhaust backpressure but with any suggestions, I'm ready to drill the R22s and got that left side pipe.

I'm assuming you mean the 6" silencing tube inside the baffle at the end cap?
I'd recommend ouloing it out. It sounds like they forgot to install the other one to begin with.
We pretty much pull all of the resonators when we install the exhausts.

that was a good joke.

foreal, why buy there?

I use motorcycles unlimited for both my race bikes and any part needed. WAY BETTER price than Stubbs could even dream of giving me....and they won't rip you off on installs either. check their reputation around here, you'll see what i'm talking about.

i believe it's rivets that need to be drilled out. but you may want to double check on that. should be pretty self-explanatory by looking at it.

Mine has no baffels, I dont think. I can see all the way thru it...It's surprizingly quiet for basicly being a glasspack at this point but I get complements all the time on the sound.

what do you need to know? the model is a "GP 270" and it probably needs to be repacked soon.
