It's very dark on that section of road, not to mention that there are cyclists/joggers out there at odd times of the day and night. Has some decent sweepers, but easy to screw up if you aren't familiar with the area.

So I take it you people that are talking trash ride your bikes on the road like Nancys 24/7...... I will clown yall so hard if you tell me dif.... Give the dead respect. Riders are going to keep speeding and dying.

Just like drunk drivers are going to keep driving. Drunk drivers kill alot of innocent people. Including my brother who was just walking to his car.

The difference is... speeding riders usually kill themselves out of their own misjudgment. I think you A-H***S know this.

RIP

cousin said his friend called him this morning. told him that he had told that guy that he was gonna go cruisin real quick. so him and another friend took off. wether they were speeding, racing, or whatever, they said that a car swerved in front of him causing him to lose control and jumping the median.

I don't think that area is a good place to ride hard, it seems like you come around a corner on a dry day and there is always water on that road somewhere from the sprinklers or seepage or something.

anyway thats tragic and RIP.

My bike sees redline regularly, been topped out, and been cranked over on its side more than I can count, but I don't do that type of riding down Westheimer, or any street like it. I'm all for having 'fun' on my bike, it's why I bought a SS. If I wanted to ride around at 30mph all day I woulda bought a Vespa. I'm a little more cafeful about WHERE I choose open the throttle than this guy was though.

We all ride fast, but as stated earlier, it's where you pick you spots. Prayers are with the family and friends however, still a totally avoidable accident.

Young and Sportbikes are a bad mix. Turn out the lights and add a dangerous road in the middle of the night and you have the recipe for disaster.
