Exclamation What Exhaust Go Best With What Bike?!?!?

Just wonderin but I was just tryin to think about what bikes/teams use what exhaust? Apparently they use specific exhaust cause they go better with a certain type of bike. All i can think of right now is

Kawasaki - Acrapovic, Muzzy

Suzuki - Yoshimura

Honda - Jardine , Hindle

But what bikes/teams use......Arrow, Leo V, Arata, M4, Two Brothers etc.????

I've never understood the whole "what exhaust goes with what bike debate."

Either the exhaust mfr. makes a good exhaust or they don't.
It's that simple.

I seen Yosh make good gains on some models of Suzuki's as well as on some models of Honda's, Kawasaki's and Yamaha.

The same goes for M4, Akrapovic, Leo Vince, etc.

Do your research; look at dyno charts and compare not just top end numbers but the midrange curve.
Talk to people who do a lot of tuning with various bikes and have experience with multiple brands of bike and exhausts.
Another point to consider along with performance is fit, finish and long term quality.

It's just like the tire argument. I see people all of the time that have maybe had 2 different brands of tire on their bike but proclaim that the tire they're using right now is the best on the market.

It's real hard to give a lot of credibility to someone who has very limited experience / exposure to a product. Regardless it it's tires, helmets or whatever.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that if someone has limited experience, they're not entitled to have an opinion.
It's one thing for someone to say; "I love my Arata exhaust", but it's quite another to say; "Arata makes the best exhaust for the XYZ bike."
When all they've ever had was the stock exhaust and an Arata. it doesn't give them a lot of basis for their statement.

A better question to ask might be: I have XYZ motorcycle, what's some of the better performing exhausts for it?

I'll get off my soapbox now.

My 2 cents, YMMV.

Patrick pretty much said it.

The only exhaust manufacturer that was truly brand specific (and mass-produced) until recently was Erion. Until last year, they were Honda only, but now they too make exhausts for other brands too.

People associate brands w/ manufacturers mostly on race performance which is no way to do it for the average rider.

, when Nicky won AMA Superbike on an RC51 it had "Jardine" exhaust but it was really exhaust that Akrapovic & HRC developed and Jardine paid them to put their name on it.
