Whats up with all the Cops??

Whats up with all the cops?? They are everywhere everytime i go for a ride. The otherday I counted 2 kemah, 2 galveston sheriffs and 1 state trooper within a 2 mile stretch. Today i take off going down red bluff and im doing the speed limit, guess who pulls up behind me and turns the lights on. He claimed the reason that he pulled me over was b/c he couldnt seem my license plate. I have it mounted right above my hugger, if u look its visable. But WTF what kind of chicken sh*t is that?!?! They are always looking for something u stop us riders. This is the 3rd time that i have been stopped within a 2 month period. Are they just after me or are they pulling other ppl over??

Might want to think about putting the plate out where it's more visible...

It wasnt just for the plate, i had my inspection sticker on my swingarm and they claimed that was an improper display. The othertime a guy that i was riding with got busted for doing a a wheelie on the sea wall so they stopped all of us.

You should thank all the guys that run from the cops, wheelies, stoppies and and other silly things that gives sportbike its image.

Both are valid reasons to get pulled over, BTW.

That's why I ride a tractor. LEO can't quite decide what it is, but with the luggage on they figure it can't top 65mph anyway!

Well there you go, what is there to rant?

Who is gonna protect the innocent when you lose control of the bike when you do a wheelie?

Actually the safety is legal on the swingarm. I called 3 different DPS offices and they told me as long as it could be seen it was legal. I also asked a trooper that i know about it and he said it was legal. Either way its still chicken sh*t.

Well im not going to do a wheelie where its going to be dangerous to somebody else. I wait until i have an open road with nobody on it that way if i go down its all on me. Not to mention u can never predict what the other crazy drivers are going to do.

It might be legal there, but it gives them a reason to pull you over and look for it - and anything else that might be wrong with your paperwork. It's up to you if you want to get pulled over for a look-see that often.

I've actually not had an inspection sticker on the bike for a while now, and I still can't manage to get pulled over. Go figure. Must be all that gear I wear that makes me look like an old phart.

Actually it depends on what the judge decides when you go to court, if you don't just pay the fine etc.

btw, I haven't been pulled over or stopped by a Leo yet...so there would seem to be fault in your claim 'They are always looking for something u stop us riders.'
