Showa suspension

Does anyone know anything about showa suspension? I am debating on buying a used set of forks that have a showa sticker on them do they make everything from valves to springs and seals and what kind of quality are they?

I know 00-03 GSXR 600 and 750 are Showa.

Build quality is supposed to be better that Kayaba.

Comes stock on all Honda's, they are generally reguarded as an "OEM only" mfg in the states, but over seas they are on par with Ohlins, Penske etc. Several MotoGP teams including Repsol Honda run Showa.

Yes, but the 1K's come o.e.m with KYB. Doesn't make sense to me cuz SHOWA is supposedly "better" than KYB(imo). At least that's the case with the 05 1K. Best bet is to ask PAT with Motorcycles Unlimited to explain things/differences to ya- he has literally toooo much knowledge about this sort of thing.

Showa is stock on later model GSXR750s.
Just because it has a "Showa" sticker on it doen't mean anything.
A better question to ask is, what's been done to the internals or are they stock?
