Paint Issues

Ok so im tired of the stock paint on my 2003 R1 LE and the vinyl red flames are well less than appealing.

Long story short I want to lay down some flat black and maybe keep 1-2 R1 stickers on there. Anyone know of someone who could do this for me and how much am I looking at spending?

I would never Powder coat my wheels I have Power Coated wheels and unless you like washing your bike Those things are always dirty. Keep them black that way you dont see the dirt

Painting flat black is going to be expensive btw.

As long as the body is in good shape, painting won't cost too much, but the flat clearcoat is tedious to work with, takes more time, and costs about $100/ quart, just for the "Fixed n Flat" without the reducers and harders.

If you want to just do some flat panels over your existing gloss black, it will be less work, but the materials costs are still high.

If you're on the SW side, I can help you out, if you're on the North side, you're better off going to Tony. We'll both be comparable in price.

Well, I'm in Needville, so if you're interested, hit me up with a plan via PM or email.

Otherwise, Tony (Houseofpain) from Tom's Paint & Body, also a site sponsor, I'm sure can hook you up.

I can get to it next week if you want. Shouldn't take more than a couple of days depending on what you want to do.
