]

By WTSP-TV Tampa

TAMPA, FL -- The Howard Frankland Bridge is back open this morning. It was shut down for an hour overnight while troopers investigated a fatal motorcycle accident that send the driver into the water.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Scottie Ewing was driving a motorcycle, was speeding across the bridge, lost control of his bike, crashed into the railings then flew over the bridge.

Troopers say his motorcycle kept going. They say he died after hitting the water.

They say he was going around 150 mph.

According to the FHP a friend of the victim was driving another motorcycle at the same speed. He was not injured.

The bridge was shut down for a short time.

All lanes are now open.

RIDERS IN FLORIDA, I need your help finding Scottie Ewing... Body: Hey everyone, in the Tampa area,

As most of you have heard by now, Scott Ewing went off the Howard Franklin bridge last night and died in Tampa Bay.

I am desperately trying to find a contact for his friends and family. I know that his sister's name is Hope and his family is from Ohio but I can't find anyone who knows him personally on myspace.

If you can repost this on your rider message boards, forums, group pages, etc.... it woul dbe an amazing help!

Please send anyone who knows him or his family to

I woulkd like to do a Queen B benefit fund in Scott's name, and I need someone to help me get in touch with ANYONE who knows Scott, his friends, or his family, so I can figure out who to give all the donations to at the end of the month.

Thank you all so much for your help and support.

bless all the motorcyclists who are ridin tonight.
