One of the tests I've seen done with dogs to see if they've been abused/beaten before they can be adopted is the 'raised-hand' test. Do they flinch or cower. If so, you know they've been abused/hit fairly regularly.

well ive had my dog since he was a puppy, he's a good dog. He doesn't always flinch, just when he's done something wrong and he knows it.


I tell him NO once, even twice, if i have to say it a third time, he's catchin an whoopin.. Same goes for my kids when i have them.
