RIP,

but I will reserve judgment and blame until details or facts come out. Hit and run drivers should be hung, no doubt.

But what if the bike hit the car?

They were on the highway, yet the SUV hit the bike hard enough to send the rider flying into the guardrail. Something seems off here.

Wasn't that long ago that another rider died on 290 weaving thru traffic at 100+ and misjudged a truck.

They found the tahoe but the ppl ran? 100 bucks says the tahoe was stolen, and if it wasn't then the owners sure as will say it was.

R.I.P.

I've been noticing a trend of an increase in hit and run incidents involving motorcyclists. The penaly for doing so needs to be increased SIGNIFICANTLY to better discourage it from happening.

Ed,
Do you think there is something the AMA might lobby for?

people just do not care! self preservation is their only concern, I had some kid in the woodlands last weekend almost hit me, I could see him laughing in the mirror. It's people like that, that make it unsafe!

RIP, I hope they find the person responsible for this. I have had two accidents involving a car. luckly they stopped to make sure I am alright. But it is sad that most people these days just don't care about others on bikes. I know I have had some people just not paying attention come close to me on the streets.
