it is just my mentality, I am accustomed to a bigger bike. I prefer bigger bikes so I never feel like I have enough power on a smaller bike. Even though I will be gaining a couple of hp by putting an 05 engine in it, I still see it as a 600. I know they are quick and once I get accustomed to it I will probably be ok. If I were to buy a bike though it would never be a 600, this one was pretty much free so I can't betch.

that lil' R6 is faster than the Vmax. about a half second faster through the 1/4, and a 30mph higher top speed. it just feels slower because it has half the torque.

I think someone forgot to tell Jimmy that 600s arent fast, and they do handle better= higher corner speeds

The 600's arent slow by any means, but there's nothing wrong with liking the torque of big bore bikes though. You don't have to wing them up as much and up you dont need to downshift as much to make good power/acceleration/torque. All depends on your riding style and what you want to do with your bike. I'm satisfied with the compromises of my bike and would not want a 600 for street riding either (even though the 600s handle better and have better top speed)

Jimmy, I may be able to make the ride afterall. Put me down as a maybe. Still not going to be pushing to hard though, so I'll probably ride towards the back of the pack...
