i took an all black one and painted it. i also removed the suction cups and glued with some velcro.
I like it and it's all that matters.

I agree. It'd be way cooler to attach them directly to one's bike. I think maybe the front fender. . .or perhaps down the center of the gastank.

I'm afraid I'm too paranoid to add anything to my helmet, but I'll admit I get a kick out of seeing the hawks now and again, particuarly those that have been customized somehow. It's kinda reminiscent of Mad Max.
