Yea 1097 takes you right to 149. On 45 it's a few exits north of 105.

I'll be taking it easy...got another ticket Wednesday afternoon from the same leo that gave me one few months back. I can say the defense driving course on line sucks.

Last time we road 149 and 3090 there was gravel every where...oh yeah and the bb gun bandit.

As long as Brandon hasn't posted saying it's not, this ride should still be on... the weather maps, I check two different ones, say it should be a good morning...

Never too early to ride!

Anyway, nothing to report! Ride went smooth!

Had a great time! Thanks again Brandon for putting this together!

It was good to meet those of you that I hadn't met and good seeing those that I've rode with before!

I will post up the pics later this evening.

To each his own. I plan this early now for several reasons.

1. Traffic
2. Heat
3. Timing - by the time we get to Kings Cafe it's about 9am / by the time we get to the next stop at the thirsty parrot it's about 12. So it really works out beautifully. However I wasn't that hungry when we stopped for lunch so I might have to tweak it just a bit more.

All and all a great ride today, nice to meet new people. I hope everyone made it home safe and that my pace was ok. Sadly my video that I made was garbled I think that the camera got hot sitting in the sun before we took off. I still need to figure out why it occurs, this is the 3rd time. Anyway here are some pictures.

Hah! In by a second...

Brandon, you'll have to show me the backway that you take to the Woodlands... my ride seems long having to go back to the beltway and over to get to Kingwood... :/:

Thanks again!

Where did you guys end the ride? I know a few back roads around there, depending on where you are trying to get.

We ended at the Thirsty Parrot and then we hit 290 and headed home... I always end up going to Beltway 8 to get to 59 N... but, I need to find a better road to take from 290 over to 45 at least... I can then take 242 to 1314 to get home...

I just don't want to drive 35 to get home... especially today, had to get home to relieve my wife from kid-watching duty, so she could go hang with her friends.

May have to try Brandon's way the next time I am out there...

Speed wise, that is probably the quickest. You can run 2920 across, but once you get close to Tomball there are quite a few lights.

There are a couple roads you can drop back down to catch the Belt right around 249 tho, so it may be a little quicker.

Guess if I don't decide to go south next weekend, we'll have to go do my Livingston/Conroe loop to give you guys a break.. LOL!
