Just plain funny.

will it even cover travel gas if you finish first going to daytona?

probably have to enter 4 races to break even.

What about other contingencies like alpine etc? where do we get info on that?

EX is for expert and if your stuff is not on the list then you don't get paid for using it. (atleast not through the race organization)

You must be kidding right? Unless you are finishing first on a manufactures weekend you are only going to make a very small portion of your money back racing with any club. And that is only if you are running with the big boys in expert. Novice payouts are a joke at best, but if you set up for the most contingency offerings you can pay for a few things with top podium finishes. But realistically by the time you buy Vortex, hotbodies, Leo Vince pipe, and what ever else you are starting in a pretty deep hole already. There are only a handful of guys who can do it week in week out. I look at it like icing on a cake. The cake is still good, but but money tastes better.................

bro, i said in the post below that one i was "just kidding". i know how expensive this sport is. i just didn't understand the sheet. to race in this sport...., just to be fast in this this sport take alot of extra help over just a rider alone.

anyway, i'm not afraid to ask "stupid questions". i don't care what people think of me. i will ride no matter what and let that speak for itself. I will never be pro but as long as i'm fast as fk i'm happy.

And some of the contingency has a minimum # or riders in order for them to pay anything. Thats something to think about too.

We just talked about payouts last week at the CMRA race.

From Barrel Racing I know Jackpots. Every entry adds a little bit of money to the fee (let's say $5 or $10). This goes into a jackpot which then gets paid out to the first three in the class.

Does motorcycle racing have something similar? If not, I don't think it would be a bad idea to consider it.

Pay outs are from the purse and contingency monies.

CCS definetly seems to have some sizeable payouts.

Yeeah............finish 5th in CCS and get 1st place CMRA money with only 15 on the grid. .....sweet. Will be interesting to see if tha pay out schedule applies to the south region right out of the box. I'm hopeful both Houston rounds will be at MSRH.
