2 hours and 45 minutes

2 hours and 30 if it's a pitchers game.

3+ hours if it's all offense.

exit on the east side of the ball park (near the jailhouse) and you can catch San Jac up to I-10 and be out of there in 5 minutes....baseball rules, too bad the Astros have sucked it up this season.

i went quite often last year, a normal game is right at 3 hours, traffic isn't too bad when driving yourself, just get on 59 and roll out. bike parking may be questionable. I wouldn't. you should enjoy the stadium itself for what it is! they have a bar inside that you can go to, sit down throw some back and watch on the monitors!

plan ahead on the "exiting" routes. i go to alot of rockets games and always know that fastest way out of downtown. that can save you about 30-45 minutes.

i wouldnt ride there but if you have to im sure you can park near the valet.

I like to exit McKee Hardy from I-10.

Go south on McKee/Hardy (whichever one it is, right next to the Last Concert Cafe - 'heads will know) this road goes right to Minute Maid. Easy, no traffic. You can exit the dame way too.

I have seen bikes parked under 59, right where all of the pedestrian traffic from the parking lots walk.

While obviously not entirely safe, there is a constant stream of foot-traffic here, and usually a couple marked cop cars and officers working the cross-walks.

Look for one of these crossings, with cops, and park there.

It would be pretty brazen of a thief to throw a bike in a van right in front of a couple sheriff's deputies.

When I went to a game on a bike, I got to the cop directing traffic and he pointed us into the pre-paid lot - I motioned that I didn't have a ticket and he told us to park within the end triangle (striped) and that it'd be fine.

Be courteous and ask one of them - the end caps can't be used by cars anyway.
