RIP. This happened right by my house. I'm not sure if the feeder was wet or not, but be careful on the I-10 feeders if they are. All the current construction makes for alot of clay/mud/dirt on the roads, which makes for pretty hair-raising experiences when the road gets wet, especially in this particular section.

A young lady was killed on her bike, when she hit a curb on I-10 feeder, one rider with her, took off, and another guy rider stayed with her, but went to jail for DUI!!!

Anyone know who these peeps are?

My prayers are being sent for this young lady and her family.
I'll bet money she was on a harley and prolly had a doo-rag, I'll even bet they will find her bac to be sky high as well. Some stand up guy that hauled and left her, he must be a real winner

I wish police would start enforcing the states current helmet law more aggressively.

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/msb/helmet.htm

They need to start pulling every motorcycle owner over who does not have a lid on and check to make sure they conform to the state law.

It is possible that the other guy may have been in front and never knew that someone had crashed. So I will reserve my judgement on the guy that supposedly left the scene. I have lead rides before in the past where people had crashed and I didn't know it until I doubled back when the rest of the group never showed and in other times, I thought that someone had just left to go home. So you never know.

I have mixed feelings about this. DUI and wreck...yes it's upsetting to lose someone, however i get angry when they put other ppls lives at risk by drinking and driving/riding!!!

I guess that's why all things happen for a reason!!!!

A sound of reasoning, i can appreciate that well made point!

I've done that b4, but normally when I lead a group, I take a few peeks to make sure we got ev1 and if not I pull over or turn around, to see WTF.
