Tuesday I am taking it to Tim @ Ellis Performance to do some preventative maintainence and have him look it over, then(hopefully!) if I have enough time before Patrick closes I will shoot down to his shop and have him mount the rear tire so that I can ride the bike back to Huntsville with me Tuesday night.

Edit: Couple questions: 1.) The bike has no turn signals, when I push the turn button the light on the cluster works but the signals aren't even on the bike. Brake and Headlights work flawlessly. The bike also has frame sliders and has been painted matte black. I am guessing one of the previous owners(there's 2 and it'd be the guy before the guy I bought it from) may have used it as a trackbike?? Anyways, how hard would it be to put an integrated brake light with turn signals built in on the bike, or is it hit or miss as to whether those wires were completely removed from the harness? and 2.) What kinda MPG should I expect? I looked online and got a GIANT range of answers. Thanks!!

Remove the seat and look under the tail, the wires will be there if they were not removed.. plenty of intergrated lights around for the SV, most are plug and play.

Have Tim or Patrick take a look for the wires while they are checking it over.

I'm still sitting on the fence ... SV or 650R as my next bike.... love the matte black though ... all you need is like a skull and cross bones somewhere.

You can easily integrate the stock rear taillight. As far as the front, add some aftermarket flush mounts for $15-20.00 and you're there.

Depending on how you ride, 35-40 mpg if it's in a good state of tune. Also, there's no need to run premium unless you're beating on it, plain old 87 works just fine.

Be careful riding the bike with thread / belts showing; there's not much left after that.

cool bike, I dig the flat black
I need to get the lower fairing for mine

I get 50mpg consistantly on my 'o7

if it doesn't have it already an upgraded shock for the rear and springs and oil for the forks make a HUGE difference
I put a 636 shock and some Sonic Springs on my SV and it feels like a different bike, and all to getther I spent less than $200, and its easy enough to do yourself

svrider.com has tons of info on mods. one of these days I'm gonna put a gixxer front end on mine

With a HUGE thanks to Tim at ELLIS PERFORMANCE and Patrick at MOTORCYCLES UNLIMITED, I was able to get my bike on the road and put almost 100 miles on it today. Simply amazing, nothing like I've ever ridden...
