If you are no rush, just be patience and someone will come along and pay you for your asking price. I have seen those crazy response from craigslist too. If you have to sell it quick, post it in the for sale forums here. You will get more than what the dealer will pay for it.

I can't comment on their sales, but they attempted to sell me a ninja 500r a couple years back for nada+ value because they said it was "new" (new meaning 4000 mi and an 04 when it was already 2005). So I won't do business with them again. Just my personal opinion...

lol, no. if the kbb is like 6,000 they will probably offer like 1,500 and then sell it to some other schmuck for 9,500...

Here's a weird thought... call up Eximport and ask them.

You could have avoided this entire waste of bandwith thread with a simple phone call.

I know, it's this horrible thing called: doing it yourself.

So many people seem allergic to it these days...

I think it's the GOVT's fault... someone should go get the bike, run it by Eximports for a quote, then return to the sellers home.

Right?

THis was my initial thought as well.

BTW, every single bike I've seen being sold at Eximports has been way above market value. I'd steer clear of their stealership if you're trying to get the most from a sale.

Patrick's offer is more than fair. They put up with the headaches of selling your bike and take a modest %age for their troubles.

This thread was made asking if anyone else has dealt with them. Did I come in and ask "hey well my bike is a so and so, I was wondering if you guys could tell me exactly how much they will give me, and what kind of pen they use to sign the papers, and if you can also throw in what kind of paper they use for their checks."

No, it was asked to see who else has dealt with them, their experience with them, and how it went. Kind of like a review. Or are you too slow to comprehend that? Next time you come into a thread ready to jump the gun and shoot garbage out your and implying that others are lazy, read.

I recommend a nice program called R.A.B.D.A.R.G.A.B, read a book, do a report, get a buck. Might be very beneficial to you!

In my experience, they tend to offer more money than other dealerships. They can afford to since they tend to price them out a little steep.

Sooooo.... still, why did you just call them and form your own opinion? Then you come on here and ask the question, see if others opinions are the same as yours.

You weren't forming an opinion on Eximport, simply borrowing someone else's opinion...

Well its pretty simple he wanted honest opinions from here before he called or went by. So if they shot him with a low ball # he would have a better idea. But instead people flame him and ask stuid questions, do you not do any research before you buy or sell to make sure you get a good deal?
