Checking in from the future in-laws....I knew the pics would surface, but dang....ya'll don't waste no time.... My hip is a little sore today, but other than that I am doing fine.... I felt like such a dummy going down in the first session, especially right after the riders meeting. I have ridden on other "green" tracks before, but this one gets the award for being the greenest of green. My rear tire was all over the place and when I came into turn one (which I tried making two turns out of 1 and 2 and I should have made it all one turn) I realized I was coming in WAY too hot for track conditions. I opted to run off straight, but as soon as I hit the dirt I knew I made the wrong decision. The course I was on extremely bumpy and lots of ruts in the dirt (probably from erosion from drainage). Long story short, the front end tucked (I never touched the front brake) and I went rolling down the hill. I was untouched (minus a bruise on my hip) and my ego was hurt for a whole 2 sessions. After that, the track dialed in and I was moving (except for the whole uphill 180 degree turn maybe T6?) Hopefully Henry gets that vid posted soon... I was able to ride the rest of the day and had a blast. Thanks to all the peeps that helped me out. It was good seeing all the regulars and nice to see some old faces (fly737). There must have been 5 other crashes in the morning, how come I'm the only to get my pics posted of the carnage? LOL! No worries, it happened at the track (where it should happen) and I'm glad it did. 2nd crash in 8 years of riding. Not too bad if you ask me. So, does anyone have a lower left fairing for a 94 ZX7? LOL!

Glad to hear your still in one piece Danny boy.
You can go ahead and hang on to that back protector for a while, looks like you need it more than me.

Dude, I didn't know that was you! I remember tech'ing your bike, but didn't know you were "DBuck"!

That is the only drawback on that track. First thing in the morning, there is a fine layer of dust on it that the sweeper never seems to get off the track. After the first session or so, it's usually gone and the track is sticky-icky (not in the chronic way of sticky-icky for you heads).

I had a good time out there, took a long time to re-aquaint myself with the track and a new bike after such a long layoff. I was having a hard time getting up to speed, but by the end of the day I was doing lots better than the morning 'fer 'sher.

Good on ya Dannie, hope you have a good rest of the weekend recuperating!

Did you get left behind? Hopefully you made it home with no problems and didn't get lost! Sure was glad we didn't have to drive back last night. Got a nice room-no bugs or mold like our other 5 star room-jumped in the pool to cool off, stayed in the hot tub long enough to relax my sore legs, headed to Fuddruckers for some grub, then had to spend a couple of hours at Main Event with my son. Not a bad day at all!

My neck is stating to feel a little sore, but I kinda expected that.

Tom, I don't think you teched my bike....pretty sure it was Jeff. I asked Jet and James if you were out there, but later found out you were the one riding around the pits with that PIMP hat. Sorry I idn't introduce myself, but I didn't know that was you. I ain't worried about the crash itself at all, it's only cosmetics (and maybe a jacked up fan clutch, it seemed to be running bt not spinning late in the day) and I think I made my decision up about taking it solely to the track. If I can get 10 TD in a year, that would be more than enough riding for me. For whatever reason after I do a trackday, my desire to get back on and ride again is minimal for a couple of weeks. Thanks for all the comments, all will be well in a few days I hope.

Aww , then I don't know who the this "tomLSTD" guy is....I guess I'll get to meet him on the 10th at TWS (Texas World Speedway). That was Charles? I should have said hello, during the second to last session I followed him for like 10 laps (Alrova told me it was him) and man it seemed like we were killing it. Passing opportunities on the short track seemed very minimal, but we were holding the same pace so it made it even more fun. Hopefully he wasn't scared that I stayed a whole 5'11" behind him the entire time around the track LOL!

Clyde, are you kidding? I crashed that bad boy at 55 mph or so and it only scraped up some plastics....no need for upgrade just yet. I will be riding this beast until it dies...unless you're looking to get rid of any of your bikes in the 3K dollar range Then we can talk, and I won't be picky....I'll take whichever one you please.

Scorpio, back protecter held up fine and I will try and get it back to you this week. Thanks again, it came in "handy"

So, someone needs to start a roll call for 9/10 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) now...this sh*t is so much fun, even when you crash.

Just saw this comment and for the record, I had a BLAST!!!!!!!

It would have been a bad time if the bike would have been down for the count, cosmetics don't mean a whole lot to me....I mean, I ride a 94 and knows it wasn't the cleanest one out there, it was clean....but not that clean. She'll be pretty again in no time....now I just have a set of track plastics

I teched your bike after you crashed. Alberto deferred to me and I was the one that told you that you could just zip-tie the fairings and clean out the dirt and you should be good to go

Charles was the one running around in the pimp hat (at least he was when Macman wasn't wearing it and doing his Huggy Bear imression ).

I was the one in black/ white leathers and the white/ neon green GSXR that looked like this:
