I had a great time out there. It was nice to hang out with all the regulars and ride with some new people (Tim). Weather was great, food was great, and the track was great. Cant wait until the next LSTD event. Thanks for the pics.

Good Luck to all our CMRA racers!

It was good to see you too and everyone else! It was too funny coming up Hwy6 and seeing familiar faces on the road already. "Hey, there is a truck pulling a bike".. "Hey, its Candie!".. it just kept going. Seemed like everyone left at the same time.

Friday's trackday was lots of fun, I kept moving inbetween the 'new' track and the 'big' track to watch everyone ride. I was estatic being able to move around on 2-wheels again, on the pit bike of course. I was a bit sore on Saturday but it was so worth it.

Everyone looked great! On the big track, Gavin needed new tires before the last session started. Tony is right, the track is harsh on tires. Gavin's left side on the tires was history.

Sunday was a blast!!!! It was Gavin's first CMRA race. Gavin did great. Due to being a ProvNov and his last name starting with a W, he started on the gird dead last in both races. He ran awesome though. In his first race, B Superstock Novice, he moved from 34 to 21st or so. His best time was 1:27:9. In his second race his best time was a 1:27:6 and he moved from 43rd (after stalling at the start) to 21st.

It was also Tony's (houseofpains) first race and he looked really good out there!

We are pretty excited about the fun weekend and look forward to seeing everyone at the next trackday and/or CMRA race!

!
I don't think that they grid by names. My brother's first races too and he was grid last and our last name started with a B.
Congrats on finishing up the race with good timing.

Ah, good to know. First he thought it was in the order of registration but then he looked at the last riders and thought it was by the alphabet. We already figured, he should pre-enter next time and see where he ends up then.

Does anyone know the official CMRA pole and grid rules?

On page 17 of the Rider's chool handbook in, grid sheets section,"your position on the grid sheet is determined by point's first, and then sign-up order".

When I look at the starting grid, it looked like all of the prov-nov were at the back and in alphbetical order. I might have been mistaken. I find it hard to believe that I was the last prov-nov to register for the two races though. I don't really care either as I had a blast working my way up.

BTW, in the second race when I started 43rd, I only made it up to 24th, not 21st like Patricia stated. I went from 34th or 35th to 21st in the first race.
