DePuniet Signs w/ LCR Honda

http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2007/Aug/070824a.htm

That's gotta make Adam West all but a done deal at Kawi.

And Checa? Done with MotoGP? I don't think there is anywhere left for him to go, is there?

If he can keep the bike upright next year he will be a rider to watch.

I really hope Nakano can get a deal done with Kawasaki... he made a big mistake leaving for Konika Minolta Honda, especially when you consider what West and DePuniet have done on the Kwak this year.

I don't think it was a mistake. Honda + Michelin = teh best for a loooong time. Who could have guessed they would have gotten it all wrong.

In hindsight it absolutely was a mistake...

Nakano will not come back to Kawasaki. West's spot isn't guaranteed either. John Hopkins has already signed a contract for 08 with Kawasaki, and recently there have been talks with Pedrosa's people because apparently he is unhappy with the performance of the Honda. Kawasaki has made it known around the paddocks they are looking for a top level rider to win them some races, and are willing to pay top dollar to do it.

I would love to see some other manufacturers step up like Ducati did, but I can't see Kawasaki being the ones to do it... I'd love to be proven wrong though

the kawi is usually second in top speed, so they have the power. they just need some better riders to get the chassis setup better and it's quite possible it will be winning some races next year.

Eh... expect Honda and Yamaha to have vastly improved bikes next year. Hopefully the tires will improve as well.

That being said, I think 2007 is the most competitive Kawi will be. Next year might just be a let down.

Yamaha was such a big let down this year. I feel so bad for Edwards.

Honda will compete next year.

Yamaha won't.

Hopkin's should not' move and work more on the bike he is on IMHO.
I think that Kawi will have a better bike though than this year.

I really hate to say it and will get flamed for it. But he should go back to WSBK. Unless he gets a better ride. Yami's suck right now.

Honestly..... I feel like next year is going to be like throwing a bunch of marbles down the rode and saying.... oh your not Stoner....your second.
