I think your a little confused....it does help your credit when you have outstanding debt that is CURRENT, not just things paid off in full. I'm not even gonna touch the credit agencies mentioned...

i cant tell u what improves ur credit ( there is a lot of stuff: for example dating a chick from experiences...) but i can tell u what it up.

1- falling behind ur payment and not making payments on time.
2- having the collector naggg ur .
3- getting something repoed.
4- all of the above.

that really ownz your credit. You'll have it on your for about 7 yrs. You can't even get a Gap card if you have something repoed on your credit.
