credit score

Okay well I just did a credit check online and my score has gone up drastically since the last time I went for a loan on a bike.....(0 to now having 695). Now I know different lenders calculate it differently....I beleive the highest score you can get is 830. My question is that do any of you have much knowledge for what score dealers want or a credit union to be approved for lets say around 5500? Anyone?

THE MAN is keeping me from riding..... THE MAN!

Re: credit score

a 600 beacon score is enough to fiance a bike or a cheap car. I used to be in sales.. don't let a dealership tell you other wise, cause if they do, they're just trying to jerk you around.

Re: credit score

thanks bud.....the scoring went from like 330-830......so 695 is close to in the middle.....it said i had fair....which was in the middle of the 5 categories.....but I would still rather go through a credit union so I could buy used and whatnot....thoughts?

Come on... don't you want him to finance a new bike so he can lay it down and still owe on it?

Re: credit score

funny part about having a bike....you don't give a what it looks like when your leaned over in that curve.

But it become most important when your not riding or when a car full of chicks pulls up... :eh:

On to the credit thing... if you pay to have your reports from the 3 major bureau's, 2 of them you can dispute stuff online. I got a few things dropped by just doing that. The creditor has 30 days to respond to the bureau, if they don't then the bureau has to drop it from your report. (just in case you didn't know any of this stuff)

Good luck

when you pull ur cred report you generally have a line by line detail...neg and positives. Obviously your disputing the negatives by saying that is not yours, or the amount is not correct, or whatever. The creditor (person that is reporting negative information back to credit bureau - company that gave you credit, etc.) has 30 days to respond back to your dispute. IF they do not respond within the given time, regardless if the information is true or not, the information MUST be removed from your credit report.

Two of the credit bureau's give you the option of disputing by simply clicking a button and giving the information as to why you are disputing the item in question.

Each credit bureau charges about 10 bucks per credit report pulled. So for 30 bucks you CAN make a significant impact on your scores.

Re: credit score

Runing your credit does take point off your credit score.. I'd recomend just start buy everything on your credit card and then pay that off in full, cuase understand even if you got stuff under your name like a car, it doesn't help your credit until it's paid off in FULL. The only thing is that the credit bureau take a couple of months to undate and build your credit. i believe this is the break down..

Equalfax- 6 months
Expriences-6 months
Transunion- 3 months
