jacket

ok i m tired of riding without a jacket and im really tired of comparing, after this thread im making a decision, no more procrastination.

i will spend up to $250, this is what im considering:

1- icon timax (it looks cool)
2- Fieldsheer m4 (it has the CE hard armor this sounds great)
3- joe rocket (some are really cheap but are they good)
4- vanson

any feadback is greatly apreciated

also where is that link that compare mesh jackets???

Re: jacket

you can get a Joe Rocket pretty cheap and with that type of budget you could also get a nice pair of gloves to go with it.. as long as you're getting a mesh jacket...

what size are you by the way??? how tall are you and what do you weigh?

Re: jacket

i got the icon and i like it. no problems in about a year and half. but in houston i only get about a 2-4 months when i can acually wear it. decent price for a great jacket. not just cool, but very safe. Only thing better would be leather. IMO

Re: jacket

I got the mach3, same as the mach 4 except for the leather around the shoulders and I think elbows.* I like my jacket.* I pretty much wore it year round, since it really doesn't get that cold in Houston.* When it did get cold cuz of wind chill, I wore the rain coat that it comes with.* Thing works like a windbreaker, and the jacket itself keeps ya warm and fuzzy inside* .* They're not as flashy as other brands, but some ppl have sworn that fieldsheer makes one of the best, if no the best, mesh jackets.

oh, btw, they're fairly inexpensive also, plus Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited carries them, and since your a member of the other conservative board, you can probably get a discount.

Re: jacket

all your circumstances make no sense to me... you have 250 to spend but you have been riding completely jacketless or gearless I'm assuming besides a helmet. *

Anyway moving on... *Since its relatively warm to ride here year round and most all mesh jackets come with a liner, why dont you spend your money on a relatively cheap mesh jacket (joe rocket, first gear, field shear etc) AND some mesh pants (same manufacturers)? *Jacket and pants will run about $120 each, give or take. *That will put you right into your budget and you will actually NOT look like a squid for once. *n1: *:
