Re: extension of the micron topic.

micron, decent exhaust..........if it's a slip on, hp gains are pretty similar from top brands to el-cheapo's

micron is cool that it's easily repacked

nothing wrong w/ the brand. don't believe the hype

Re: extension of the micron topic.

IMO, if you are buying exhaust for perfomance gains, then I would recommend getting an exhaust made by a company that puts R&D $$ into their product. It's not just about overall top HP gain. How often do you ride your bike bangin' off the rev limiter? Check out the ones that have smooth power & torque curves. Try Sato, Akrapovic & Arata just to name a few.

If you have ever seen the fit & finish of an Arata or Sato product you would be amazed.

Check out these welds on my Satos:

i have the micron its amazing its loud but not out of control like D&D...
so i would always pick the colored microns, those are sweet or the carbon fiber d&d for any bike...

Try a pipe that is made Bike specific. Leo Vince or Scorpion. Two excellent pipes. Niether require remapping or rejetting because each pipe is made specific bikes. Not a one size fits all. I have had both. Great pipes. The Scorpion is made by Akropovic and has a lifetime guarantee.

Re: extension of the micron topic.

never buy a slipon expecting to get any power. Buy it for the look and sound. Now, if you're plunknig enough change down to get a FULL exhuast, then do some actual power production research.
